I enjoyed hearing Inuit stories told in this book, but more often than not they were scary. Although, in fairness, it does mention that they are scary stories. I, personally, thought the stories were sometimes cool but often too strange. The illustrations were great, though. They were very detailed and efficient, by which I mean they related to the story a lot. Another thing I did not like about the text was that sometimes the writing stretched out (as if in conversation, saying "now, you see, this...") creating unnecessary sentences and sometimes even paragraphs. I thought that this stretched out some stories past the limit.
