  1. I thought that this book, like all the other Kevin Sylvester books I have read, was interesting and funny. The illustrations were well-done and clear, they effectively supported the book. Another thing that I liked was that everyone had food names (Gordon Hamsee, Gloria Chipotle, Jamie Olive). Also, this book had almost non-stop action, which drew me in and I could not stop reading. The author described everyone's personality very well, especially Neil's, which I thought was key to a successful book.Sometimes, though, I thought the book lingered on a topic too long, making the book not boring but sort of warped and unreal. Lastly, I found that when the book switched between points of view, I got confused because sometimes the chapter didn't seem to finish. In conclusion, despite its flaws, I would recommend this book to many people.

  3. I really like this book because it's a very interesting mystery but funny at the same time. Kevin Sylvester wrote 4 serius books of Neil Flambe and they all had a very interesting and original plot. Right now I am really close to finishing this book and I already bought the book Neil Flambe and the tokyo treasure and I am so excited to start reading it.

  5. I loved the book Neil Flambe and the Crusader's curse because, along with it being funny, it always left you wondering what was going to happen next. Even at the end, Kevin left a cliffhanger, so you had to read the next book to be able to finish reading!
