  1. I thought this book was funny from the start, making the book more appealing to me.Although I wasn't sure about the plot when I started, the detail soon emerged and it was easy and exciting to read. I enjoyed how the author described the characters, especially Dulsie and Grandpa Angus. The author also effectively sequenced the chapters, I found that the writing was fluent and simple to read.I am not very familiar with the Maritimes, but this book made me feel like I was. This created a sense of being directly woven into the story. Besides the confusing beginning, I have no other feedback to bump up the book, and for this reason, I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a combination of myths, legend, humor and a message. In conclusion, Sinking Deeper is an amazingly well-written book.

  3. In my opinion, this book is very humorous. My favourite character in this book is Granddad Angus. I thought he was one of the best characters in the book because, he was always bringing spirit and hope into the other characters. For example, on chapter 11 page 58, Granddad Angus said
"Being a good carpenter doesn't have a thing to do with being a girl or boy."
In that line, Granddad Angus really makes a statement about people being sexist. I also like how determand Roland is to make the sea monster. I am only about half way through the book, but i can already tell that this book is very well written and has a great point. In conclusion, I find this book is amazingly well written and to make it more interesting, it has a lot of detail. That makes the reader want to know more and more. Akasha

  4. I think that this book is very funny, however it can be very confusing. I enjoyed the part at the begining when Grandad Angus threw the cyber cable because it is very funny. I thought that Roland was very brave trying to create a sea monster and he was very determined to make it. In conclusion, I enjoyed this book, however, throughout it I had to re-read a lot of paragraphs for confirmation.

  5. First of all I read about half of the book and it has a good story line, but at the beginning of the book it was kind of hard to understand until later in the book. I hope I finish this book it seems pretty good so far. I also love the jacket that granddad Angus has, I wish I had it myself.

I wonder what would happen to main boy if he gets in trouble and gets caught?
